I wonder when this kiddo will decide he's ready to stretch his little legs and walk. Today he stood up by himself a handful of times. But he's been pulling himself up for almost 6 months now. So to say he will be walking by next week just doesn't seem realistic. He will run I am sure instead of walking so no need to rush things.
Today we ran some errands, had our Friday lunch date with Glenn ran some more errands, cleaned the whole house (Jack took a nap during that) and then went out to dinner and hung out with the crew. Three boys 17 months, 13 months (jack) and 3 weeks and 7 month old baby girl. It's becoming quite the crew.
Not sure what we are doing tomorrow. I have some gardening to finish/change up before the snow flies, but we are switching our heat over to natural gas so our yard is going to get dug up here for the next few weeks so no since moving things until I know where the pipes are going. But it should lower are heating costs when the 30 belows come back in Feburary.

Bummer of a Summer
Well.....I hate to say it but Summer is about over. Especially up here...over too soon. Today I sorted though clothes that Jack has outgrown and got out the new ones for Fall to be washed and put away. We've had to wear jeans and sweatshirts all week. We also worked on taking in some jeans that he is too skinny for. Being the whole 18lbs that he is....I had a two month old in our office last week that was 16lbs. At least we know Jack is healthy, active and a good eater.
I am starting to get a list going of things that need to be done before the snow flies. Things to put away, things to get out.....life is one big list I think. I really wish I was making a list for Spring....seeds, dirt, new flip-flops. Oh well will have to endure the next nine months of old....ten if we get snow in April.
Jack is pretty excited about all of his new cousins-to-be coming next year. He is hoping for at least one boy who loves dirt, swimming, parties all night long, and trucks. God's blessings and good luck to Laura, Sarah and Jen.
Jack has been getting bad report cards from school......his biting and head butting have been getting him in trouble. It's a really hard issue to slove, being that school can't really punish him....they can only tell him NO! So he thinks it is a game. He has tried barring his teeth on me too, but Momma don't put up with bad behavior! So I did bite him back and that has seemed to work. He still tries to get me sometimes but I give him a big old NO BITE and scare him half to death and that seems to do the job. I asked his doctor about this at his last appointment. He said he never encourages parents to hit their kids, but this is a bad behavior that needs to end, he suggested bopping two fingers on his mouth lightly and yelling NO BITE! I haven't had to do much bopping yet....my NO BITE! is pretty good. Hopefully a better report next week.

Summer
Where has Summer gone? August starts tomorrow. Crazy! We now have a one year old boy and not a baby anymore! But he is still pretty cute and learning/growing so much everyday. I can't believe how much he has changed. We are looking forward to going camping at Blindsucker next weekend. Hope to get lots of pictures, agates, fish and blueberries.

Spring Peeper!
Well....we haven't been blogging lately. But since I had the week off I wanted to update everyone on Jack's status. He is growing like a weed.....as you can see in the flower bed. He now has one tooth and the second one is not far behind. He says Momma, Dadda, Hey, and some Kah word for Spike. He is moving all over and getting into everything. His favorite activity is playing in dirt....typical boy right. We no long have any house plants because it's just too much of a pain to keep the dirt cleaned up. He is working really hard on pulling himself up and will walk a few steps along furniture. It won't be long and I he will be running and not crawling away. He still loves taking baths and always seems to make his way into the bathroom when the water is running, even if it's not his time for a bath. He also has become a great eater. Right now his favorite foods are pizza, tacos, chicken, bbq ribs, yogurt and he does love his fruits and veggies too. We will be seeing most of you next week and are looking forward to that! Love Jack

March Maddness
Well as March comes to a close I realize that this month has flown by. Maybe it's because Jack keeps us so busy or maybe because I am getting cabin fever and can't wait for spring. Anyhow April is just a few days away....YEAH! We had a cold week and all our snow that has melted made a big muddy mess in our driveway...and it snowed once again. At least we aren't flooded like some of the others around here. Glenn had to help get water out of the clubhouse at work this week and Fargo is about to be sunk.
We just got back from our visit to Grandma's and are working on getting everything cleaned up and put away. Jack had a rough week. I don't know if he caught a bug in Michigan or if he's getting teeth but he's had a fever almost all week. He had to miss two days of day care but luckily Ron and Sarah Dawdy just came back so they helped out by watching him. Hopefully he'll get teeth soon and we will know what was causeing all the troubles. For now he's swinging away watching Robin Hood....or dreaming about Robin Hood.

Top of the 7th
Well...it's the last week in Feburary.....whoooooo! We are starting to get excited for spring. It has been a long winter and we can't wait to get back outside. Our daily walks have been put on hold this winter because it's just to cold for Jack to get outside. So Spike and I are starting to get cabin fever. Hopefully in about 3 weeks it should be warm enough for a stroll around the block. We have had a busy weekend scrapbooking away. I got a new machine that is like a printer that cuts all sorts of fun letters and pirate ships out. It makes it faster for me to scrapbook which is great! Before I spent lots of time cutting out each individual letter, now I just type them into a word document include any fun pirate ships or golf balls and hit cut. I can walk away do something else and come back and all my shapes are ready to be glued down.
I am also begining to plan my gardening for the summer. Each spring I have started some prennials in the house, I have had really good luck considering we don't have windows on the sunniest side. But it is fun to have some new ones to plant and to give them away too.
Jack is starting his 7th month today. He's been getting so big. I'll have to work on catching him crawling with the video cam this week. He can get around pretty good for a little twerp. He's got to be about the happiest baby ever. He got to take his first bath sitting up so here are some photos from that. He did tip over and bonk his head at the end but he took it like a man.

Here's a little Valentine's Day Greeting....We're not sure what the boy wonder is thinking in the picture but he sure has a funny look on his face. We are spending Valentine's Day waking up to little boys talking away, eatting some yummy Apple and Cherry Cereal for breakfast, playtime and scrapbook time (with the new Robo Craft Cutter!) and later tonight having a crab leg feast with Daddy after he gets done refreeing! Have a wonderful day. We LOVE you all.
