Four Month Check Up

Jack had his four month check up yesterday, he did great. Such a brave boy. He didn't cry for the first shot and he was done crying by the last shot. He did get a fever last night and has been a bit moany is the best way to describe it. He had a warm bath this afternoon and had a great time trying to reach for his rubber duckie and turtles. I think that distracted him from his legs hurting.

His stats were:
13 lbs 12 ozs, 26 inches
90th for length and 20th for weight
Taking after Uncle Dan for sure!

We had planned to do some birthday/christmas shopping today but so far that hasn't worked out. Since someone's dad's birthday is on Thrusday we had better get to work!

Fish Stories

Glenn went Ice Fishing on Sunday and caught a big one...I'm sure the story will keep growing but his 35 inch Northern Pike was pretty big. So big we had to drive into Baxter and get a picture or two of the fish and fisherman.

Sneak a Peak

We were going to hold off on showing our new family pictures off until our Christmas card...but they did turn out pretty nice. We had a friend offer to take some family pictures for us after Jack was born, it took us a while to have time to take them but it was well worth it. She did a great job. I love how his little tuff of hair is sicking up.
Jack had an exciting day at school today....so much so that he is probably passed out for the night already and it's only 6:30. I guess he didn't want to take a nap today because there is just too much to watch at daycare. He gets that from me I love people watching. He will probably sleep better tonight.

Four Months Old

Jack has reached another step towards that big First Birthday!! He is now four months old. We have watched him grow a ton in the last month. In the beginning of the month he was working on Reaching and Grabbing toys. He now plays with toys and has great coordination with his hands. He usually has to have a pacifer and a stuffed animal to fall asleep with. We aren't sure which one he likes better he loves his tiger, elephant puppy and cow. Today in church he was laughing out loud while he was playing with his Cow (the one he shop-lifted from Grandma Jennie). He now loves to jump in the Jumperoo. In the last few days he's figured out the jumping part while before he would just sit and watch the lights. He spends more time entertaining himself and unfortunately loves watching TV. The other night the Wild Hockey game was on TV and Jack was laughing and smiling...we all knew that was coming.

He still doesn't sleep though the night.......not even close. We are lucky if he sleeps for four hours in a row. It wasn't so bad a first but now that we are back to full swing with life there are less oportunities for naps (since someone doesn't nap long enough) but we are hoping someday he will sleep all night. For now we are just enjoying every moment of loving our little guy!

Busy Buddy

Since I've last wrote anything we've had a busy couple of weeks. We were able to Michigan and visit all of our family and friends who we miss so very MUCH! We've also had a very tough last week as Glenn came home with a flu bug on Wenesday, Jack got it on Friday and I got it on Sunday. But today we are all feeling better. Jack went to the doctor with his Dad to get his ears checked because he was still acting up and not wanting to eat. But the doctor thought he was just tired out and congested.

Tonight we will be going to bed early after a nice warm bath and hoping we don't have a repete of last night. After fighting with Jack for a few hours I ended up with a bruise on my collar bone from him thrashing his pacifier and head into it.....he had a rough night. He couldn't stay asleep or get comfortable..we ended up on the couch and running around late for work/school. But hopefully he will sleep tonight.

For a sick little kiddo

he sure has been a happy boy. Even when he was throwing up he would just smile and laugh...he must get that from his dad.

Jack O Lantern

Happy Halloween! Jack O' Lantern was a busy boy today. We got the house cleaned up so we can be ready for a fun weekend of Tricks and Treats. Tomorrow we have some Glamour Shots in the morning with Amy Foley. And we also have some Halloween fun with our friends at night. So tonight we got the pumpkin carved. Jack decided he wanted his pumpkin to match him, a pirate. He also helped his dad blow the leaves off of the lawn. And he's been playing hard all day. In a week he has really got the grabbing toys down. Finally he can play with all of his fun toys!!!
