Snow, Snow, go Away!

With the thaw we've had the last week...I'm hoping for spring. I can't wait! I have a ton of spring things to get done before baby #2 comes. I want to get the flower beds cleaned up, our drive way is getting paved :) and I'm hoping we can plant a small veggie garden. If we can figure out a dog pee-ing proof method here. The neighbor dog is really bad about that...and Spike can't let anyone mark his spots.
Our ultrasound is next week Friday. We are not going to peek at baby's sex...but it won't be that much longer until we know any how. We have four babies that we know of due on July 4/5. So far we've heard two of them are boys. Jack and Glenn are hoping for another boy for their hockey team...and I'ld have to say I'm hoping they get that boy.

Peanut, Peanut Butter

Jack has a new favorite snack. Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. Unfortunately he has a very odd way of eating those sandwiches. He has to put them on a paper towel (which is at least tidy of him) and eat them off the floor like a dog. I think the silliest thing he did was dig a paper towel out of the trash (he saw me put it in the trash in the morning so good job on remembering). He even Sometimes he forgets that his dog Spike also likes Peanut Butter Sandwiches as well :)
We are packing up our bags for another trip to the PGA show. Hoping to get a few more autographs and enjoy some warm weather. Tonight we are going to a hockey game and Jack has been saying Hockey all day. He's pretty excited about it. Even his blue jeans were Hockey jeans.

More, Hockey, Please

Jack's vocab is expanding exponentially everyday. Here are a few examples of how a little boy communicated with his mom today.

While sitting in the high chair "Rrrroar" "Hockey"
Meaning: Mom's cup had the Florida Panther's Hockey Logo on it

While taking a bath "More" "Me-Me"
Meaning: I don't want to get out of the bath. I want to play with my truck Mater some more.

While throwing a fit "Hockey" "More" add Tears, Laying flat on the Floor and lots of SNOT!
Meaning: I want to go outside and play on my hockey rink

Today Baby #2 had a check-up. Very uneventful. I found out my purse weighs about 10lbs. The nurse forgot to tell me to put it down when she weighed me. I did get to hear the heart beat...the little ticker was pretty quick. In six weeks we will have an ultrasound to see how baby is developing. And in four weeks we will be half way to having our Baby #2 home!

We're in the Great State of Texas

Well...we've had an interesting last two days! Never a dull moment with Jack! We had to be in Houston, Tx this weekend for a wedding. So our plans were to drive down to the Twin Cities Thursday night and fly out Friday morning. Plans never seem to go as planned. We had a bit of a snow storm hitting the southern part of the state Thursday so we decided to let it snow and drive in the morning. So we picked up a pizza....which wasn't sitting too well in my stomach. We got Jack to bed around his normal time and I was quitely packing his bag up while he was sleeping. I looked over at him and Puke Attack! All over the place. Poor kiddie. I guess I wasn't the only one who wasn't liking the pizza. We decided by morning to at least drive to the Cities and if it got really bad in the car only Glenn would go. Jack must have really wanted to go because he kept things down. Well he kept them down and saved it for about five mintues before we boarded our plane. But since he didn't have a fever I was still thinking food posioning. He flew like a champion. Slept the whole time. And he didn't manage to get sick again. He did end up with a fever yesterday and still a touch this morning. But he's keeping things down and eatting. He made a little girl friend Emily last night. She is 11 months old they had a lot of fun running around together. I wasn't very happy about him playing with her because I didn't want him to get her sick but her parents and grandma kept bring her over. They told me she was sick with a 105 fever the week before. So hopefully she doesn't get Jack's bug. We are currently watching Spainish cartoons and enjoying breakfast in bed. The wedding isn't until 4pm so we have lots of time for a good nap and maybe a swim for Jack if he promises to keep the water out of his ears and eyes!

To Post...or not to Post

Thinking back over the last year...I hardly took time to do the things I wanted to do. Mostly because I didn't have anymore time in the day. I was looking that I had posted 20 times last year. Well hopefully I can at least double that and keep updated a little bit more in 2010.
Today has been a not so great day. Emily has successfully given me her case of the headaches. I've had one since 7 am this morning and I've tired everything...it's not going away. I couldn't make it through church we (Jack and I) had to leave. Oh well there are worse things in life.

2010 Here We Come

Ready or not 2010 is here. It's amazing how fast another year has flown by. We survived all the Christmas parties and now are resting for a few days before we jump in to a busy New Year. Monday is back to work for both of us. Glenn had three weeks off and I had a week and a half in December. Jan. will prove to be a busy month we have two trips planned for a wedding in Texas and the PGA show in Florida.
Jack was given so many toys for Christmas our house looks like a toy store. I need to go through his older toys to see if we can put up some that he has outgrown. All this stuff is really making me hope for a baby brother. I can't imagine adding dolls and pink to the growing Truck and Hockey stick collection. He spent all morning/afternoon either pushing around a truck or swing a stick. I hope he gets a brother to join him in his fun.
But we will have to wait just under 6 more months to see. 26 weeks to go. I can't wait to enjoy some time at home this summer with my babies!
I've been thinking about New Year's Resolutions and I've got a few I am going to work on. I'm excited to see what this New Year and new change to our family will bring!

Home Again Home Again....

I should be motivated to go get the laundry done so I can pack up for Michigan! Yea! Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I'll get to it! Jack is taking a nap so I am enjoying some peace and only two hands on the keyboard.
He had a busy week at daycare. He is transitioning into the toddler room. In order to move into the next room he has to be able to do a few things like: sit on a chair to eat without falling off, eat with a spoon/fork, sleep on a cot and a few other things. It's been tough on him this week, yesterday he only got a nap for an hour because he got woke up by another kiddie. So he was pretty crabby last night. But we are proud of him for working on big boy things.
We met Glenn for a Mexican lunch today...we love Fridays. I enjoy spending time with Jack and it's been our tradition to meet Glenn for lunch.
See you all soon!
