We're in the Great State of Texas
Well...we've had an interesting last two days! Never a dull moment with Jack! We had to be in Houston, Tx this weekend for a wedding. So our plans were to drive down to the Twin Cities Thursday night and fly out Friday morning. Plans never seem to go as planned. We had a bit of a snow storm hitting the southern part of the state Thursday so we decided to let it snow and drive in the morning. So we picked up a pizza....which wasn't sitting too well in my stomach. We got Jack to bed around his normal time and I was quitely packing his bag up while he was sleeping. I looked over at him and Puke Attack! All over the place. Poor kiddie. I guess I wasn't the only one who wasn't liking the pizza. We decided by morning to at least drive to the Cities and if it got really bad in the car only Glenn would go. Jack must have really wanted to go because he kept things down. Well he kept them down and saved it for about five mintues before we boarded our plane. But since he didn't have a fever I was still thinking food posioning. He flew like a champion. Slept the whole time. And he didn't manage to get sick again. He did end up with a fever yesterday and still a touch this morning. But he's keeping things down and eatting. He made a little girl friend Emily last night. She is 11 months old they had a lot of fun running around together. I wasn't very happy about him playing with her because I didn't want him to get her sick but her parents and grandma kept bring her over. They told me she was sick with a 105 fever the week before. So hopefully she doesn't get Jack's bug. We are currently watching Spainish cartoons and enjoying breakfast in bed. The wedding isn't until 4pm so we have lots of time for a good nap and maybe a swim for Jack if he promises to keep the water out of his ears and eyes!

To Post...or not to Post
Thinking back over the last year...I hardly took time to do the things I wanted to do. Mostly because I didn't have anymore time in the day. I was looking that I had posted 20 times last year. Well hopefully I can at least double that and keep updated a little bit more in 2010.
Today has been a not so great day. Emily has successfully given me her case of the headaches. I've had one since 7 am this morning and I've tired everything...it's not going away. I couldn't make it through church we (Jack and I) had to leave. Oh well there are worse things in life.

2010 Here We Come
Ready or not 2010 is here. It's amazing how fast another year has flown by. We survived all the Christmas parties and now are resting for a few days before we jump in to a busy New Year. Monday is back to work for both of us. Glenn had three weeks off and I had a week and a half in December. Jan. will prove to be a busy month we have two trips planned for a wedding in Texas and the PGA show in Florida.
Jack was given so many toys for Christmas our house looks like a toy store. I need to go through his older toys to see if we can put up some that he has outgrown. All this stuff is really making me hope for a baby brother. I can't imagine adding dolls and pink to the growing Truck and Hockey stick collection. He spent all morning/afternoon either pushing around a truck or swing a stick. I hope he gets a brother to join him in his fun.
But we will have to wait just under 6 more months to see. 26 weeks to go. I can't wait to enjoy some time at home this summer with my babies!
I've been thinking about New Year's Resolutions and I've got a few I am going to work on. I'm excited to see what this New Year and new change to our family will bring!

Home Again Home Again....
I should be motivated to go get the laundry done so I can pack up for Michigan! Yea! Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I'll get to it! Jack is taking a nap so I am enjoying some peace and only two hands on the keyboard.
He had a busy week at daycare. He is transitioning into the toddler room. In order to move into the next room he has to be able to do a few things like: sit on a chair to eat without falling off, eat with a spoon/fork, sleep on a cot and a few other things. It's been tough on him this week, yesterday he only got a nap for an hour because he got woke up by another kiddie. So he was pretty crabby last night. But we are proud of him for working on big boy things.
We met Glenn for a Mexican lunch today...we love Fridays. I enjoy spending time with Jack and it's been our tradition to meet Glenn for lunch.
See you all soon!

Family Vacation
We finally got a chance to get away. The golf season was over and we got out of here while we could. It was so nice to be in an area where there was no phone service :) Even though poor little Jack was suffering from h1n1 we still had a wonderful vacation. We flew into Durango, Co and stayed one night in a historic hotel The Stator. It was very neat and had a great downtown district. We stopped to visit Mesa Verde Park and toured the ruins. Then we drove 2 1/2 hours up to Moab, Ut. Moab was awesome! I highly recommend it!!! We stayed at the Red Cliff's Lodge, a high class dude ranch, 14 miles out from town on the Colorado River. We spent two days there visiting Arches and Canyonland Parks. What an amazing county God has given us. I am in awe of Utah and can't wait to get back to go to Bryce Canyon and Zion. We had awesome weather for November and hiked too many miles. We did chicken out on one trail. When you only have about six feet on a ledge and you have to jump a crack to continue on you start to doubt why you're on the trail. I can see why they called it Devil's Garden Trail.

Nummy Nummy Num!
Jack's newest phrase, "Nummy, Nummy, Num!" He sure does love the sweets. I was laughing pretty hard when I was making monkey bread the other night. He stood by the oven waited not so patiently for the bread to be done. He's little song was quite funny.
He has decided this week that he is over crawling...that's so 14 months and he's working on 15 months now. It happened on Tuesday, I took him to daycare got his coat off him and he stood up and walked over to the train table and picked up a train. He wouldn't even say "bye" to me.
He has been quite the ham this week. Glenn was gone golfing in Wisconsin and Jack and I had a blast. He really does not like the cold weather, everytime I put him in his winter coat it's "ouchie, Ouchie, OUCHIE!!!" he crys the whole time it's on him. And I would cry too. It's quite a bit big and pretty much like a striaght jacket. I guess he better keep eatting the monkey bread so he can fit into his coat.
